Each of our colourful handmade pegboards and handmade pegrails are covered with a beautiful, natural and distinctive furniture linoleum. This is a sustainable, biodegradable product made from oxidised linseed oil and natural pine rosin. It has solid, matt appearance, it feels warm to the touch and is family friendly - it won’t show fingerprints!

 

The linoleum is a high quality product that is elegant, durable and will add a warmth to your environment. As with many natural products over time it will give a stunning patina effect. You may notice a change in colour during the first few days due to the natural oxidation of the linseed oil with UV light.

 

It also has natural antistatic properties which helps prevent dust and dirt sticking to the boards and keeps them hygienic and clean - another family friendly positive!

 

Looking after your board is as easy as cleaning with a damp cloth and a pH neutral cleaner. From time to time the manufacturers recommend using M2 Care Desktop Maintainer. This is also a useful product to maintain the natural appearance and can help with light surface scratches. Interestingly the ‘white meat’ part of walnuts can also be used to help with scratches and marks.
